There has been much in the press and on forums in recent days around the
NBN Co pricing structure and I want to provide some background to this
and some potential cost scenarios for different sized operators..

The wholesale access price starts at $24 for a 12Mbps download and 1Mbps
upload service (12/1) and goes through a series of small incremental
increases as speed increases to $38 for a 100/40 service and $150 for a
1Gbps/400Mbps service..

I should also point out that only today we announced that 12 RSPs of all
sizes have signed an agreement with NBN Co to deliver services as part of
upcoming end-user trials across the five first release sites over the new
network on the Australian mainland.

The 12 service providers that have signed up to take part in the trial
are:

• Telstra
• Optus
• AAPT
• iiNet
• Primus
• Internode
• AARNet
• Comscentre
• Exetel
• SkyMesh
• Platform Networks
• Nextgen Networks

I hope this helps clarify our position and provides some insight into
what we are doing.
