have you tried turning images off and seeing of the page/s load ok that
way? it could be a css rendering issue. a fair collection of sites fail
to load, or load well, on my portable devices - and it appears to be a
rendering issue (one that might be associated with relatively poor dl
speeds, so that could well be a factor).

many, many developers test sites in-house before rolling out -
forgetting that their set up lacks real-world latencies.
