Interesting: our household were only given a sealed envelope, and nothing more. 

When the census collector arrived, she almost immediately asked if I would like to complete the census online, which halted all further conversation whilst she annotated a number on the outside of the orange census envelope.

I was then presented with the envelope (with no further instructions) and off she went.

The use of scripting to show or hide relevant questions made it simpler, but it was annoying to have references to earlier questions which were not immediately visible.

Top marks for storing and showing that data when useful, though. 

Hopefully they will offer optimised touchscreen interfaces in future. 

And fountain pens and spare biros for Kerry.
