I've just rejoined link after a long time away - and apologies to Tom K, but
I'll largely lurk until I have something informed and useful to contribute.

Even though I use most online comms tools in context - esp. SMS, social
bookmarking and forums - I still spend most of my day on email.

That choice is partly due to my company's dependence on it for corporate
comms and partly my dependence on my client's indexing and search
facilities. 

So Aye to email listing
