Australian Government policy requires agencies to consider the use of
open source software. To help with this, Version 2 of the "Australian
Government Guide to Open Source Software", has been released by the
Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO). Topics
covered include:
* What is open source software?
* Australian Government Open Source Software Policy
* Procurement of open source software
* Comparing open source and proprietary software
The guide is available in PDF (1.09 MB), Microsoft Word (537 KB) and RTF
(941 KB) formats:
