The new library of Alexandria, "Bibliotheca Alexandrina", opened in

Thanks to the bravery of Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the library 
and his staff, the building and its contents survived the Egyptian 
revolution earlier this year, so that future generations can visit it:
