No, please don't. I had to use a gateway to get from our BITNET
server in Arizona to Monash to email with a friend on staff there
back around 1989 or 1990. NOT pretty. But a great way to start to
learn the fundamentals of networking. It was thrilling when the first
message came through with the text from my friend: Come here Watson,
I need you. I probably still have a copy of that message archived on
a disk somewhere. Victorians will know Daniel Bowen from the Public
Transport Users Association. He was an IT student at Monash at the
time and helped my friend get his computer connected because having
an email at that time at the university wasn't a given. And if anyone
knows Daniel Carosone, he was mixed up in all that, too.

Our truest response to the irrationality of the world is to paint or
sing or write, for only in such response do we find truth.
