How about:
It has released research saying film piracy saves the Australian
economy $1.37 billion a year that can be spent locally, instead of
being sent to Hollywood coffers.

I'm not particularly a booster of piracy, but the ridiculous claims
made by the content producers (and the insane extensions to copyright
terms) really dilutes any moral authority they might have claimed.
