"The 150 megawatt photovoltaic power plant will be nearly twice the size of
any similar plant operating in the world today."

"operating ... today" being the key words there.

By the time this is complete there will already be a number of larger plants
in operation, plants which are currently under construction like the
250-1000 megawatt Blythe Solar plans in southern California, and several
others around the world.

Not saying this isn't a good thing for Australia - it obviously is - just
that you've got to love the journalistic/political license being used to
describe it.
