I am old enough, yes, alas...

But I'll pick one point, which I think lies at the heart of my reaction.

As what point does, say, a very complex multi-layer Excel spreadsheet with a lot of coding stop being "a spreadsheet" i.e. a standardised app and become a bespoke app? I'm seeing it more as a continuum than as easy-to-separate categories.

Is the distinction when someone, somewhere, cracks open a general purpose programming language?

If it is, what about that ol' Visual Basic for Applications?

I'm not sure why I started down this path.
