[LINK] Samsung, Lexmark, Xerox printer firmware locks out OEM cartridges

The following just arrived from a retailer of OEM printer supplies:

> On the 12th January 2011, the Office of Fair Trading and the Trading Standards Institute in UK confirmed they are investigating the case of Lexmark that has enabled a firmware change that locks out third party cartridges to those printers.
