No change here. I've never regarded my role as moderator, nor do I believe that there is room on Link for such action. I do not condone attempts to restrict Linkers debating issues that take their fancy - with or without decorum.

Expecting list administrators to remain impartial or distanced from any debate is entirely impractical, and whilst Robin might have erred in titling his post 'moderation note', his sentiment was to prevent Tom from restricting debate.

Indeed, Robin's lengthy missive should be construed as a plea for freedom to debate, not a moderation of debate.

ps. I'd be happy to relinquish my role as 1/3 list administrator if it makes the task of dealing with Link administration easier, or if someone thinks that they can do a better job.
