GPS tags are part of the Exif standard. See
<http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/GPS.html> for all the
gory details.

As an example have a look at the photo at <http://tdu.to/25948.att>. If you
click on the All Photo Details link you will see all the Exif fields
including the GPS ones. If you click on the "Map" link it will show you a
map of the where the photo was taken by using the GPS tags from the Exif
data.
