Congratulations to all Australian educators :-D

Two respected world university rankings ..

<http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/2010-
2011/top-200.html>

In March, The Times notes 5 Aussie universities as in the Top 100 world
unis, Melbourne at 36, ANU 43, Sydney 71, Adelaide 73 and Queensland 81.

And: www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings

This week, say ..

* World's top 25 universities for medicine .. 15th Uni of Melbourne

* World's top 25 universities for biological sciences .. 25 Uni of Melb

* World's top 25 universities for psychology .. 8th Melb, and 11th Sydney

And also surprizingly for me ..

* World's top 25 universities for chemical engineering ..

"Australia demonstrated its strength in chemical engineering with five
universities in the top 50 worldwide, a tally bettered only by the US.

Melbourne leads the way at 12th (it was the fifth most popular university
in the world among employers), followed by University of Queensland (29),
University of New South Wales (30=), University of Sydney (44=) and Monash
University (47).

The rise of Australia's younger technology-focused institutions is
demonstrated by the presence of four Australia Technology Network (ATN)
institutions in the top 200: Curtin University of Technology (51-100),
Queensland University of Technology (101-150), RMIT (101-150) and
University of South Australia (151-200) .. In the UK, Cambridge, Oxford
and Imperial are joined by Manchester (18) and Edinburgh (35=) in the top
50, with a further eight universities making the top world 100 .."

Well done Australia.

Cheers,
Stephen
