Dear colleagues,
The Cyberspace Law and Policy Centre at UNSW Law Faculty and the IEEE Society for Social Implications in Technology are hosting a seminar 'Egypt's Cyber Revolution' with Dr Mohamed Chawki, Senior Judge of the Egyptian Council of State, the country's highest administrative court, and international cybercrime expert.
One of the most interesting aspects of the recent Egyptian revolution is that technology, particularly the Internet and social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, played a very important role; this presentation by a respected Egyptian jurist analyses these effects.
When: Wednesday, 18 May 2011, 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Where: UNSW Law Building, Kensington campus,
Staff Seminar Room (2nd floor)
Further details are available in the brochure
