I love it, this is the band that invented "giving away our music".
These are the guys that made more money in 1994 by giving away their
music than any other band did by selling albums, singles and/or CD's.
(approx. 90 million dollars).

Yet, counter to the Music Industries bleatings about the cost of
promoting artists... this is the same band that in 30 years only ever
managed one entry in the top ten charts... 
Fan tapings were encouraged and in fact are even today available on the
Prelinger archives.

And this was the band that the music industry picked as justifying their
model...
