Yes Rachel. And my sympathies to all our ICT professionals who are going
to loose jobs as a result of 'off-shore cloud' restructuring. For one eg,
here in the Philippines IBM is currently waging massive newspaper, radio
and TV advertising campaigns for call-centre workers. The Philippines is
probably the world's biggest call-centre base-country, because generally
english and ICT skills are great, and, wages are around $Au300 per month.
Also the net is often surprisingly fast. For example, the ads below show
IBM is currently offering 267+ such positions here in the Phils. Imho it
would be a *good time* for Australia to get serious re Cloud computing.
