[LINK] The Australian book industry's role in digital culture

Greetings from Senator Lundy's Digital Culture Public Sphere, looking at 
government policy on the on-line contribution to culture, happening in

The federal government's Book Industry Strategy Group (BISG) has 
released "Cover to cover: A market analysis of the Australian book 
industry" a 134 page report prepared by Jeremy Thorpe at PWC for the 
Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Tjis is timely 
as I am in a breakout group at the Public Sphere event, discussing 
e-book policy with people from government agencies, industry groups and 
authors. In my view the BISG needs to take into account the new eBook 
industry more and the obsolete paper-book industry less:
