Yes, keep in mind that "The Conversation" is PR exercise funded by a 
group of universities. It is not a scholarly journal: 
http://theconversation.edu.au/who_we_are

Rather than try to improve the editorial quality of such publications, I 
suggest reading them for entertainment value, or not at all.
