it should also list them by billions of taxpayer dollars spent.

other useful metrics would be: mindless jingoism instances produced per
dollar, citizens distracted per buck, and evil shit buried in obscurity
per day (for each day of the extravaganza).



maybe i'm just weird but i'd rather have such huge sums of public money
spent on something useful like, say, medicare payments to doctors
keeping up with costs so that "co-payments" don't cost $30 per visit. or
full coverage of dental costs in medicare.
