I use ixquick also known as startpage. I also have duckduckgo
installed. Startpage includes a proxy for accessing the search result
pages, too.

I stopped using Google last year as my ff search default. In fact, I
added a bunch of search options, including wikipedia, amazon, ebay,
bing, and even Twitter. There are heaps of them. I have search
YouTube installed, but that was before Google bought it. I seldom
need to search for videos, so I think I'll remove it.

Our truest response to the irrationality of the world is to paint or
sing or write, for only in such response do we find truth.
