I had a look in all my environments (motorola xoom tablet, samsung
galaxy II phone and laptop) using Firefox and chromium/chrome which is
the best it would appear for providing all the text intended by the
creators without obstruction by browser or site features, except for the
scrolling marquee and article menu at the bottom where firefox is superior.
Its format changes on the phone to reflect the form factor and is good,
scrolling down through the article.
On the tablet in the native android browser, it did run off the side of
the screen in the index pages but the articles were fine, allowing the
usual tablet means of sideways movement although a measured swipe allows
more control than the more cavalier approach to swiping where the story
dashed through without a prayer of reading it. It offers a sidebar menu
to allow you to switch between mobile format and web format.
On the laptop, I liked that scrolling the mouse moved you sideways
through the article.
One final comment, replies do not seem to be viewable in the phone mode
Overall I think they've done a good job reflecting where the GUI is
heading (says she who will not use the Unity Interface in ubuntu 11.10).
cheers
