The US actions w.r.t. IP and copyrights are like a cancer. That
country is attempting to get her trading partners to harmonise their
IP laws with those of the USA. Kind of like they did with anti-drug laws
in the early 20th century.
The protests against SOPA and PIPA are by no means over. All indications
from yesterday's very visible cries of foul are that this is just the
beginning.
I can imagine civil disobedience on a massive scale resulting from the
stranglehold that Big Entertainment has already put on traditional media
and is now attempting on the Internet. It will get to the stage that the
MPAA and RIAA will have to take the entire country to court.
