One of the biggest startup advocators and investors, Paul Graham,
doesn't like what he's seeing from Hollywood.
Graham founded Y Combinator, a startup incubator that has introduced
some of today's biggest up-and-coming companies ilike Airbnb and Dropbox
which are worth more than $1 billion each.
Graham has issued a call to arms for all startups: destroy Hollywood.
Here's why.
Hollywood, says Graham, is run by mean people who are so politically
connected they can essentially control the governement. Graham feels
that because the movie industry is dying and the Internet industry is
booming, Hollywood's elite are resorting to tactics like pushing the
Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA).

The Film Industry exploded in 1895 with the tigger event being Lumiere
Brothers Paris Exhibition of the worlds first open cinema where the
content was 20-40 second shorts.
Since then we have seen approximately 500,000 movies made.
Youtube replicated the Lumiere Bros. trigger event creating a second
innovation explosion which in combination with the arrival of the HD
capable 32 GB storage cap smartphones ensures that today, the entire 117
years of film industry content (about 43 million minutes) is duplicated
(on Youtube alone) every ten days. (Not even mentioning the Facebook,
Vimeo, Metacafe or other creative video website uploads.)

Every politician needs to know this.

(IMDB Database count - possibly not complete, but biggest movie database
- Today AU/NZ/UK/USA are turning out approximately 600 movies per year)

P.S.: and I think Mr. Graham is a very brave chap.
