When it was first formed, I suggested to a friend in the organisation
a range of possible interpretations, pronunciations and other
mnemonics.

He said that, during the first day after the announcement, the most
popular suggestion within the agency itself was to pronounce it
'Bacardi'.

But of course the spoilsports who create letterheads, logos and
domain-names (the guardians of enterprise image) destroyed the rhythm
by inserting a D at the front of the BCDE.
