I'll correct this detail. The IPv4 / IPv6 remains the choice of the
retail service provider. The NBN delivers a Layer 2 service.
Paul B - there's a crossover with IP multicast, is there not? Is this
impacted by v6?

In a perfect world, you'd need not know about IP versions. After all,
did you ever ask what version your home router supported before? I think
it would be better to leave the home user in as much ignorance of
version as possible.
