Jan, I used to use that model DSL modem since 2003ish until I replaced
it with a Billion 7800 last year, the netgear goes into panic mode too
easily, like 3 hits or whatever, I found it more a PITA and disabled the
DOS logging. Internode support are probably right, you're worrying over
nothing especially if your net experience is not impaired.
