The hell of it is, that the 1995 strategy paper was discussed at the time.

It's a long time ago, and I'm not going to start searching through 
archives to double-check, but I'm close to certain that Geoff Huston 
talked to a few journalists about the importance of the Internet, based 
on projected future voice revenues. I think it was at an ATUG conference ///
