On the subject at hand, it's been pretty well established that the vast 
majority of the best qualified support the view that Tom attributes to a 
vast conspiracy. At last count, that majority was 97%, with 2% 
undecided, leaving 1% agreeing with Tom. It's summed up nicely at

Tom; your credibility (and perhaps mental health) can be established by 
answering the question: "Is a grand conspiracy involving such an 
overwhelming majority probable or is belief in such a conspiracy 
delusional?"
