Personally I think our universe is made of dark electromagnetic strings
that can pop into and out of existence. And, because we entangle atomic
particles for which distance is irrelevant, we need new perspectives on
space, and reality. One is that our visible universe is holograms, made
of woken dark strings, so bodies re-create, moving through the universe.

These guys are doing something regarding this: http://holometer.fnal.gov

"Recently, theoretical studies of black holes, and later in string theory
and other forms of unification, have suggested that physics on the Planck
scale is holographic.

It is conjectured that space is two dimensional, and the third dimension
is inextricably linked with time. If so, our three-dimensional world is a
kind of approximate illusion that emerges only on scales much larger than
the Planck length. The holometer attempts a direct experimental test ..
measurement of holographic noise would be the first direct experimental
access to the Planck scale, and, provide fundamental insights into the
fundamental nature of space and time."

Re a hologram, maybe we might have more evidence soon: www.theage.com.au

"A glimpse beyond our solar system reveals the neighbourhood just outside
the sun's influence is different and stranger than expected, scientists
reported on Tuesday .. “We discovered this big puzzle — that the matter
just outside of our solar system doesn't look like the material inside,”
said McComas of the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas."
