Both worth reading for some local context: John Quiggin and Ross Gittins
have blogged on this recently wrt some of the political arguments pumped
out in favour of "productivity" that are basically code for longer working
hours. From a pure economic point of view the problem with working longer
hours is that it is a one off gain, and anyway, people tend to revert
themselves to a more reasonable work/life balance.
