In my opinion, the free software movement has been completely
blindsided by smartphones, PDAs and tablets.  The rationale for
wanting control over your software has not diminished. In fact, it has
probably increased (where is my data going? how secure is this
application? who is fixing bugs?).

As far as I know, I cannot buy a tablet and run my own Linux distro on
it.  That is, one I have some trust in.  That's why I'm sitting out
for now.
