The layers of self interest and misdirection in the media reporting
and the original decision are substantial.
Of more concern to me than CN spying (which I am sure the AU gov will
be doing anyway, why else does the DSD want two full racks next to
each government agency's Internet link) is a US or CN Internet
'kill-switch".
Such a vulnerability to a third party disabling the network at a time
of war or otherwise would seem much harder to prevent/defeat.
