Speaking as a multiple-times company director, I was appalled at the 
barriers that the NSW court system put in the way of the regulator, 
and appalled at the absence of criminal charges against the Hardie 
Directors.

This judgement goes some way toward placing an appropriate level of 
legal liability in behind the grossly overpaid Board-room denizens of 
major corporations.

It hopefully also applies (although somewhat scaled) to the much 
smaller organisations that normal people are involved in.
