FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION: "Robocall Challenge"

SUMMARY: The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announces a prize competition
that challenges the public to create innovative solutions to block
illegal robocalls.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The FTC Robocall Challenge is an initiative of
the Federal Trade Commission challenging the public to create innovative
solutions that will block illegal robocalls on landlines and mobile
phones. The vast majority of telephone calls that deliver a prerecorded
message trying to sell something to the recipient are illegal. The
Competition is intended to provide recognition to "Contestants" for
developing proposed technical solutions or functional solutions and
proofs of concepts that can block illegal robocalls ..
