[LINK] Mozilla in the Frontline of CyberWarfare

I've been using Mozilla in one form or another since 1995.

One of my devices is a Win7 Netbook and has Firefox installed with auto
update with the "Warn me if this disables any of my add-ons" flag ticked.
And contrary to that flag, installed an upgrade whilst auto disabling my
AVG safe search browser add-on.
I am furious and have disabled my auto-upgrade.

Yes, AVG will no doubt upgrade "Safe Search 12.0.0.2191" - but the point
of this notice is that in the Firefox Tab I had the "Notify if upgrade
will disable any add-on. If I look at the Firefox upgrades applied -
there are none. Therefore I can only assume that the upgrade was a
furphy specifically run to disable AVG.

This is extremely aggressive and unusual behaviour on the part of Firefox.

It would appear that Firefox have sold out to the Corporativism meme and
can no longer be trusted to operate as agreed.
