My experience is, Yes. I note several websites orignally hosted by <someuni>
disappeared at the same rate that it was outsourced. Originally many websites
were colocated on one server but when Alston restructured the rules they were
removed. Furthermore, public access personal websites with useful stuff were/are frowned upon,
hence I no longer host the several help sites for Solaris I used to run. Now also,
any projects are further corporatised and denerdified via platforms like Sharepoint,
which is great for documents but not information.
