I thought they fixed the thing. I know there was 
an update. I had a member in our local comp club 
ask last week about it and I just said accept the updates.
Was I wrong?

These are the sort of folks who need hand-holding 
for most things, so advising to turn on and off 
is not an option. They are lucky to have their anti-virus update in some cases.
