Rachel,
As I happened to be scanning my email today, I fished the Link postings about
ABC/iView out of my folder dedicated to LED energy efficient Lighting - guess,
I will have to improve the filtering algorithm!
Contemplating looking deeper into that link, your headline and then my
name, in your posting, caught my attention. So, I read your rant.
Just bear in mind that ITIL is a Help Desk system. It is an attempt to apply
ISO9000 reproduceable quality to a dynamic environment. Prince II is the
art of ignoring what you are trying to achieve but ensuring you finish on time
and to budget!
I have been wondering whether I can be bothered writing a chapter on
the Role of the System Administrator in Corporate Governance.
And whether anyone takes any notice of AS8015-2005 - Australian Standard
for Corporate Governance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
http://ramin.com.au/itgovernance/as8015.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AS_8015
and the revisionist version of history, which completely ignores the
fact that ISO/IEC 38500-2008 is AS8015, with ICT changed to IT!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_38500
It is a beautiful day - go outside and get a dose of Vitamin D!
There is life outside the corporate workplace!
