Yesterday, someone mentioned to me, that people have been queuing up for
the new iphone...it suddenly dawned on me why there was obsessive chatter
on Friday night about iphones. Though, I was surprised to learn, you need
to download an app to preview books from the iBookstoer...which killed the
chatter about iPhones.
In a parallel universe, I have also been trying to ascertain whether eBooks
in ePub format can be read in the apple environment and
apparently, they display perfectly on half a dozen different viewers and
even one that failed on Friday!
So, it would seem Apple users could buy e-books, such as mine, from Lulu
rather than the Apple store:

Another little snippet, I picked up yesterday was apparently, there are
some issues with the maps on the new iPhone. Is this going to be the
"killer app" from Samsung/Google?
