I heard that some academic organisations are funded in relation to their
publication in specific kinds of journals.
If true this would mean that funding specifies the brand and mode of
publishing which is counter intuitive if it is not prioritising open access
imho. If true it would be nice to change the criteria for funding so that
there are more opportunities for people to learn from and reuse the
research.
