[LINK] Au sites and resources serious lagging

Quick query for the list. Is Oz having a major outage or network
congestion, like last years DNS loop/choke?
I'm experiencing a significant increase of timeouts for Australian content
(SMH, the Age, ABC, NEWS ...) for comparision I've not had any problem with
kiwi sites. Now I'm based in GCC so am used to delays and negotiating the
great big proxy in the sky here. I've also checked other regional sites as
well a variety of Online 'speedtest' services. Pings are approaching 500+
and through put drops to 150kbs
