that's not what I am saying at all. What I am saying is that because of
the user base any competitor will have a devil of a time gaining market
reach. And Microsoft Word is the exact example. There are alternatives,
even the free OpenOffice, but none seem to have made much inroad to the
existing user base nor stopped sales of the product. The Office
juggernaut rolls on .....
An agreed international standard, if that is what SIP is, is what's
needed to get the clients to coalesce around and provide interoperability.
