ah this is the weakness of open source in my view. libre Office having
forked (split off) from Open Office for whatever reason over a year ago
now is competing for community support from the limited resource that is
called 'the volunteer'.

Open Office has failed to maintain the support of my linux distribution
so I am now in the Libre Office camp, so Darwin's law applies as far as
I can see and it is the survival of the fittest.

I am not attempting to start a war on the merits of one over the other,
simply to point to what I see as the wastefulness of resources
(volunteers) in providing documentation for what is, for most practical
purposes, the same thing.

Couldn't our time be better spent in difference rather than more of the
same thing?

cheers
