For those who survived the Canberra bush fires, 10 years ago today, and 
want to remember (some of don't particularly want to - I've moved back 
to Sydney), The Canberra times has coverage.

When I drove past to get to the hospital, the power poles were burning 
at their bases and threatening to fall.
