As far as I can see the problem is that "Melbourne Free University" is 
not a government accredited university: 
http://melbournefreeuniversity.org/?page_id=218

In Australia the use of the term "university" is heavily regulated, 
although no one seems to worry about the "University of the Third Age" 
which is not a university either.
