[LINK] AEC won't release vote-counting code

A long-overdue g'day, Linkoids. It's been too long. I trust you're all well.

I spotted this article on El Reg:

The long and the short of it is that the AEC is using proprietary 
closed-source code for vote counting and has refused to release it for 
inspection.

This seems like a massive failure on the part of an organisation that, 
following the WA debacle, doesn't need any more evidence of 
incompetence. Once, it was the jewel in the crown.
