Chromium is not Chrome. Google's Chrome is based on Chromium. As far as
I can tell, Chromium is not substantially more or less privacy-hostile
than any other browser. Instant searching can be disabled, and syncing
is completely optional.

Do please detail any other issues you know about!

I use Chromium *only* for iView.
