I am watching it now, the price just got to USD$990. The lower bar
graph showed a USD$500k purchase which pushed the price to its current
mini-peak.

A mouseover on the blue line at USD$1000 shows that if 1460 BTC were
purchased this would use up the offers of various sizes at various
prices and bring the price to USD$1000.
For a market with a notional value of 11 billion USD or so which has
grown in value a factor of 8 in a month or so, it wouldn't be surprising
to see it go higher still.
The help text for the above page mentions finding $40 the horizontal
axis, but now this axis is from $780 to $1180.
