Indeed.

Evgeny Morozov is just one name among many that comes to mind whose done
a fairly good job at breaking these issues into mainstream years ago.

Solutionism' are great.

And I'd go even further to say, it's not an "emerging" darkside---the
darkside of all this crap was built in from the beginning---i.e
surveillance state/panopticon/inverted totalitarianism (Chris Hedges).
